Meet The Team

Dr Tony Chu is a medical doctor, trained actor, award-winning short filmmaker, and produced screenwriter. Within the film industry, Tony is known as the Founder of NAFA and Festival Director of Show-Fest International. Combining medicine with creativity, Tony is a Lecturer in Medical Communication and a medical writer-director-producer for film & TV productions. Currently, his active projects are "Mr Red Bean" (movie - in post-production) and "Medpan" (Medical Panel TV Talk Show - in pre-production). As a resource for doctors who use media to deliver effective patient education, Tony strongly believes Academy MEE will ultimately benefit the health of the wider community.

Dr Lars Paschburg is a passionate General Practitioner. He is the Founder of Med CPD, a software company facilitating access to education for healthcare professionals. He is also the Director and Advisor of multiple companies. Lars is driven to empower others through education and believes that accessibility of quality education is the key vehicle to empowering individuals. He has a keen interest in business design, systems optimisation, education, marketing, and taking action. Lars is also a co-producer for "Mr Red Bean" (feature) and developing a slate of media projects with inspirational themes.

Dr Lexi Frydenberg is a General Paediatrician, Educator, and Mother of 3 teens, who is passionate about children’s and adolescents’ health, development, and wellbeing. She has been working in paediatrics for 20+ years and works clinically between Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, and Victorian Children’s Clinic, a large multidisciplinary paediatric practice she co-founded in 2013. Outside of her clinical work, she is dedicated to sharing quality, evidence-based information about child health and wellbeing in an easy-to-understand way. Lexi is the Child Health Advisor to VicHealth, co-producer & co-host of RCH Kids Health Information Podcast, a podcast about common child health concerns, regularly writes articles for parenting websites, and is a frequent guest on radio, podcasts, and TV talking about child health issues.
